Hey!

I hope everything is going well with all of you today. I want to share one important characteristic I’ve learned throughout my journey in helping others live a healthier and happier lifestyle. This important characteristic is gratitude! I can’t go a day with expressing gratitude.

In my generation and others before me, there are people who don’t appreciate everything they have. I believe it is because we live in a society with so many distractions, possibilities, and digital communications that it makes it impossibly difficult to concentrate. And with such a mass abundance of information and accessibility, you can find almost anything you want on the internet or do anything you want in your life in the blink of a second.

We often get so caught up in the unimportant that we then neglect the things that are vital to our wellbeing and form what should be a true appreciation of life. And sadly enough as a result of daily advancing technology we as humans are never pleased. I truly believe that this creates a vicious cycle of ungratefulness that we all sometimes experience. I can admit it, I’ve fallen victim to this a number of times and I’m sure others have also (perhaps even you).

Stop for a second and ask yourself if life really is entirely that bad if we can’t be pleased and gratified instantaneously? Have you ever come to realize how bad some people really have it? Imagine not having a home, food, running water or being able to take care of your family. Most of us are privileged enough to be reading this email from a computer or from a smart phone. Imagine if all of those challenges faced you every day! How lucky we truly are.

Next time you feel overwhelmed or unhappy, I encourage you to stop for a second take a deep breath and think about how grateful you are to be YOU.  I assure that if you do this you will start to feel better and gain the power to create your vision and accomplish your goals.
