Hope your day is going well.
Yesterday was one of the most significant and inspiring moments of my life,

I was training my Client and we achieved greatness

My client’s name is Jim he is 66 years old. When he was in college, he was a star all around athlete. Amazing at both wrestling and football just pure naturally gifted. Until one day when he was playing football with his friends and he got tackled and landed directly on his head. From this day, his life change. He broke his neck (C5 and C6 vertebrae) this left him slightly paralyzed at 27 years old. He spend months in the hospital after the injury and was released after a partial recovery.  After years and years and multiple operations, he slowly relearned how to walk. However, with the sedentary nature of his job always left him with tightness and stiffness. After seeing a PT 30 some years later they recommend he start exercising again so he did. He started to get back into exercising, but then he took time off because his job started to get very demanding. He was sedentary, stressed, overwhelmed. He then survived a heart attack in 2013. Very recently, he realized that the only way to get his life back on track was to exercise. So he went to the local YMCA. . However, it was very difficult because he was severely stiff and walked with a cane.

He discovered me

I gave him some advice that he really liked. He decided to train with me.

Yesterday Jim did something he hadn’t done in multiple years. He stood up without a cane. .

He failed the first time and was very upset. I said “Jim listen to me right now. Envision yourself standing up easily without the cane. You’re going to do that right now.” Forget about every single thing going on in your life except this moment right now.  All that matters at this very moment is you getting up without a cane. I said imagine the feeling of fulfillment that will spread through your body when you stand up without the cane. Don’t lose track of this feeling.  He said ok what the heck I would give it a shot…

The next attempt he nailed it.

He yelled with joy but then broke down and tears and hugged me (I did the same). He said “ Austen, I didn’t believe I could do this at first, until you told me I could. I thought I lost everything and you helped me fine the courage to overcome this challenge. I hadn’t don this in more years than I could remember” I said “Jim it wasn’t me, it was the fact that you took control of your own life. You believed within your intuition. You conquered.”

To be continued…

I will tell you this…. Jim isn’t giving up until he reaches his ultimate goal and neither am I. (The day he walks without a cane). I know Jim will because I believe in him. And so does he.  Once he does I will share it with you all and a picture and possibly a video.

My point of this story is this…  You can achieve extraordinary results if you believe in one thing. The mind is a very powerful tool. You are capable of anything.  But under one condition, you must do one thing, you must believe in yourself.

Here’s a quote to end on.

“Life has no limitations, except the ones you make.”
